A Warm Welcome

Kimberly Emery Counselling is a neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+ inclusive practice. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life, and that counselling is a collaborative process built on respect, curiosity, and trust.

My role is not to tell you who you should be or how you should live your life. Instead, I provide a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and move towards the changes that feel meaningful and important to you.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck, you are welcome here. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

I believe that healing and growth happen within safe, genuine connections and my aim is to offer you a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore what matters to you most.

Person-centred care, at your pace

I'm Kimberly an individual counsellor based in Melbourne's South East, registered with the Australian Counselling Association. I work from a person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming perspective, tailoring each session to the individual in front of me.

Outside of sessions, I'm a plant lover, a bookworm, and an animal enthusiast — and I'm currently studying psychology, always learning and growing alongside the people I support.

How I Can Help

What I can support you with

Whatever has brought you here, you're welcome. These are some of the things people often come to counselling to work through.

  • Line drawing of a person with a swirling orbit around the head and small crosses indicating confusion or dizziness.

    Anxiety & overwhelm

Finding steadier ground when worry, racing thoughts, or pressure feel like too much.

  • Simple line drawing of a robot with a circular head, two circular ears, two small eyes, a small mouth, and a horizontal bar beneath its head.

    Low mood

Gentle support when motivation, energy, or hope feel hard to reach.

  • Line drawing of a person holding their head with both hands, with an expression of pain or distress, and zigzag lines indicating headache or stress.

    Stress & burnout

Space to slow down, reset, and reconnect with what restores you.

  • Recycle symbol with two arrows forming a circle, indicating recycling and sustainability.

    Life transitions

Navigating change and the uncertainty that often comes alongside it.

  • Line drawing of two hands holding a heart with a smaller heart above.

    Relationships

Exploring connection, boundaries, and the relationships that matter to you.

  • A circular icon with a question mark inside, on a light green background.

    Feeling stuck

For when you're not quite sure where to start that's enough to begin.
